out of nowhere a block of wood flew past me

Do mushroomen throw things?

    At times, when you're cutting trees down (or harvesting anything, really) items shoot straight up into the sky or fly off in random directions. I notice this A LOT when skinning goats (the animal hide usually flies off like a rocket).

    Other than that being a possibility, I couldn't say what else might cause such a thing.

    Are you playing on multiplayer? If you or the server are lagging in any way collision physics goes apeshit.

    This may also be caused by a low fps, you can press F2 to check your framerate to see if that might be interfering with the physics.

    It was in a multiplayer game, but I was the only one playing at the time.

    I already have the frame rate low, low shadowing etc.

    It was before I updated to windows 10, haven't seen it since yet
